AI Data Privacy Statement

Last updated on 15th May 2026
ArchRepo uses AI features powered by Anthropic Claude models, delivered through the Vercel AI Gateway. Grayston Ltd takes the privacy of your data very seriously. This statement explains the Zero Data Retention (ZDR) protections in place for all AI processing within ArchRepo.

What is Zero Data Retention?

Zero Data Retention means that the content you send to AI features — including your prompts, inputs, and the AI-generated outputs — is immediately and permanently deleted after each API response is returned. Your data is never written to persistent storage by the AI infrastructure.Under a ZDR arrangement, your data is never used to train AI models. ZDR is enforced at both layers of the infrastructure ArchRepo uses: the Vercel AI Gateway and the Anthropic model provider.

Vercel AI Gateway — Zero Data Retention

All AI requests from ArchRepo are routed through the Vercel AI Gateway. Grayston Ltd has enabled Zero Data Retention company-wide on the Vercel AI Gateway. This means:
  • Vercel does not retain your prompts or AI outputs after the response is returned.
  • ZDR is applied to every AI request made by ArchRepo — it is not opt-in per request.
  • If no ZDR-compliant provider is available for a request, Vercel will return an error rather than silently routing to a non-compliant provider.
Full details are available in the Vercel AI Gateway Zero Data Retention documentation.

Anthropic — Zero Data Retention

Vercel holds a Zero Data Retention agreement with Anthropic covering the Claude Messages API — the API used to power ArchRepo's AI features. Under this agreement:
  • Conversation content (prompts and outputs) is not stored at rest after the API response is returned.
  • Your data is never used to train Anthropic's models without your express permission.
  • Only what is technically necessary for a feature to function is retained, and only for the minimum period required.
Exception: If a session is flagged for an Anthropic Usage Policy violation, or where required by law, Anthropic may retain inputs and outputs for up to two years. This is an explicit carve-out in the ZDR arrangement.Full details are available in the Anthropic API and Data Retention documentation. Anthropic's Trust Centre is available at trust.anthropic.com.

Scope and Exclusions

Covered: All AI features within ArchRepo that use the Anthropic Claude Messages API via the Vercel AI Gateway are covered by the ZDR arrangements described above. Not automatically covered by ZDR: Certain Anthropic API features have their own separate data retention periods and are not eligible for ZDR — including the Batch Processing API, the Files API, and Code Execution tools. Grayston Ltd will update this statement and disclose any use of such features before they are introduced into ArchRepo. This statement applies to Grayston Ltd's use of AI infrastructure. It does not cover third-party integrations, plugins, or external services you may access through ArchRepo — please refer to those providers' own data policies.
